How do I search my X bookmarks? A half-remembered line is enough locally
TL;DR:The popup’s “搜书签” searches saves you stored with x-pro.club: text, snapshot, author, notes, and tags. It does not search the bookmark folder on X’s servers.
Why it happens
X’s folder is a poor way to find a sentence you half remember. The extension search covers only the local copy. A post you bookmarked on X without “收藏到 x-pro.club” will not be found here.
Native X vs x-pro.club
| Native X | x-pro.club |
|---|---|
| You scroll the folder by time | The popup “搜书签” box searches local saves by words |
| A deleted post often will not open on X | The index includes the snapshot text, so a deleted post can still match |
How to do it
- Open 搜书签 in the popup — Extension icon → “搜书签”. The placeholder says a half-remembered line is enough. Several words do not have to be in the original order.
- Open a result in the library — Clicking a result opens the bookmark library in extension settings. For a deleted post, use “快照阅读”, described in /docs/x-bookmark-archive .
- If nothing matches, check that the save is local — Search does not read X’s server folder. The two lists are explained in /docs/x-bookmark-limit .
FAQ
- How do I search my X bookmarks?
- Use “搜书签” in the extension popup. It matches the local text, snapshot, author, notes, and tags. It does not search the folder on your X account.
- Can I find a post from half a Chinese sentence?
- Yes. Chinese is indexed by character and by adjacent pairs, and the words need not stay in order. The item has to have been saved with “收藏到 x-pro.club”.
